Depending on how you use Go-RC, we may collect the following information.

Account and profile information

When you create a Go-RC account, we may collect:

• Name or display name
• Username
• Email address
• Profile information
• Profile photograph, if you choose to upload one
• Information provided through Google Sign-In

If you use Google Sign-In, Google may provide us with information associated with your Google account, such as your name, email address and profile information, depending on the permissions and settings applicable to your Google account.

Location information

Go-RC may collect or process location information when you use features that rely on location.

This may include:

• Your device location, where you give the relevant permission
• Locations of RC spots you submit
• Locations associated with events, stores or other places submitted to Go-RC

Location information may be visible to other Go-RC users where you intentionally submit it as part of a public spot, event or other community content.

You should avoid submitting a location that identifies your private home or another person's private address unless you are certain that doing so is appropriate.

RC Garage and photographs

Go-RC allows you to create a Garage and showcase your RC vehicles.

You may choose to upload:

• Photographs of RC vehicles
• Build photographs
• Modification and upgrade photographs
• Other photographs or information relating to your RC hobby

Content that you choose to publish publicly may be visible to other Go-RC users and potentially accessible through Go-RC's website or application.

Please do not upload photographs containing sensitive personal information or information about another person without appropriate permission.

RC spots and user-generated content

Go-RC allows users to contribute information to the community.

This may include:

• RC spot locations
• Descriptions of locations
• Photographs
• Reviews or comments
• Event information
• Track day information
• Crawler event information
• Long-jump competition information
• Swap meet information
• Other RC-related content

Content you deliberately publish to the Go-RC community may be publicly visible.

You are responsible for ensuring that information and content you submit is accurate and that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit photographs or other content.

Membership and payment information

Go-RC offers paid membership services, including Go-RC Elite, in the United Kingdom and United States through supported purchase channels.

Website payments and subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Android in-app subscriptions may be processed and managed by Google Play. Where GO-RC! offers iOS in-app subscriptions, they may be processed and managed by Apple's App Store.

Go-RC does not require you to provide your full payment card details directly to us. Payment information is processed by the relevant payment provider in accordance with its own privacy and security practices.

We may receive information from Stripe, Google Play or another applicable app-store billing provider necessary to administer your membership, such as:

• Confirmation that a payment has been made
• Subscription status
• Membership information
• Transaction or payment identifiers
• Subscription dates
• Information necessary to manage refunds or cancellations

We do not store complete payment card numbers on Go-RC's systems for our own purposes.

Go-RC credits and activity

We may record activity associated with your Go-RC account, including:

• Credits earned
• Credits used
• Contributions to Go-RC
• Spots submitted
• Content submitted
• Membership activity
• Participation in Go-RC features

This information allows us to provide and administer Go-RC's features and rewards.

Technical and usage information

When you use Go-RC, we may automatically collect certain technical or usage information, depending on the services and analytics tools used by the application.

This may include:

• IP address
• Device type
• Operating system
• Browser or application information
• Approximate location derived from technical information
• Usage information
• Pages or features accessed
• Diagnostic and performance information
• Device or app identifiers
• Pseudonymous identifiers associated with a device, browser or installation of the app

GO-RC and the technical or analytics services used to operate the application may use device, browser or app-related identifiers to understand how the service is used, measure application performance, diagnose errors and crashes, monitor app health and improve GO-RC. These identifiers are used for analytics and technical purposes and are not used by GO-RC for personalised advertising.

We use this information to operate, maintain, secure and improve Go-RC.

We may use your information to:

• Create and manage your Go-RC account
• Provide Go-RC's services and features
• Authenticate your account
• Process and administer Elite memberships
• Process payments and subscriptions
• Allow you to create and manage your Garage
• Display content you choose to publish
• Allow users to submit and discover RC spots
• Allow users to discover and participate in events
• Administer Go-RC credits, rewards and giveaways
• Communicate with you about your account
• Send important service and account notifications
• Send marketing communications where permitted by law and, where required, with your consent
• Respond to enquiries and provide support
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse and misuse
• Maintain the security of Go-RC
• Monitor and improve application performance
• Analyse how Go-RC is used
• Develop new features and services
• Use pseudonymous device or app identifiers for analytics, diagnostics and performance monitoring
• Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
• Protect our rights, users and business

We will not use your personal information for purposes that are incompatible with the purposes explained in this Privacy Policy unless we are permitted or required to do so by law.

Depending on the circumstances, we rely on one or more lawful bases under applicable data-protection law, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 and, where applicable to our processing, the EU GDPR:

Contract

We process information where it is necessary to provide the Go-RC services you have requested, including managing your account and providing paid membership services.

Legitimate interests

We may process information where necessary for our legitimate interests, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.

This may include:

• Operating and improving Go-RC
• Maintaining application security
• Preventing fraud and abuse
• Understanding how users interact with Go-RC
• Improving the user experience
• Communicating with existing customers about relevant services

Consent

Where required, we will ask for your consent before processing personal information for purposes that require consent.

You may withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis for processing.

Legal obligation

We may process information where necessary to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with trusted service providers where necessary to operate Go-RC.

These may include:

Base44

Go-RC is built and operated using Base44.

Base44 provides application infrastructure and related services and may process personal information on our behalf.

Base44 may also use approved subprocessors in providing its services.

Stripe

We use Stripe to process website payments and manage website subscriptions.

Stripe processes payment information in accordance with its own privacy policies and security practices.

Google

We use Google services, including Google Sign-In and Google Play Billing, to authenticate users and, on Android, process and manage in-app subscriptions.

Google may provide us with subscription status, product identifiers, purchase tokens, order identifiers and expiry information needed to administer Elite access. Google processes payment information in accordance with Google's own privacy policies and terms.

OpenAI and AI service providers

Where GO-RC makes Bash Bot or another AI-powered feature available, questions and the minimum necessary conversation context may be sent to OpenAI through its API so that an answer can be generated. We do not intentionally send passwords, full payment-card details, authentication codes or unnecessary sensitive personal information to the AI service.

Bash Bot may be available to signed-in members subject to membership eligibility, daily question allowances and additional redeemed-question balances. GO-RC records the minimum account-level usage information needed to enforce those allowances, including question usage, additional question bundles redeemed and GO-RC Credits used for a redemption.

For RC location searches, Bash Bot is designed to use the least precise location that will work, such as a country, county, town or general area. It should not request a house number or exact home address. Public venue addresses may be shown where they are published by an authoritative source. Location wording supplied to Bash Bot is not added to your GO-RC profile or used by GO-RC for marketing merely because it was supplied in the chat.

OpenAI states that data submitted through its API is not used to train its models by default unless the customer has explicitly opted in to data sharing. GO-RC has not enabled model-training data sharing for the Bash Bot API project.

Under OpenAI's standard API data controls, API inputs and outputs may be retained for abuse monitoring for up to 30 days, unless a different eligible retention configuration applies. Provider-side retention and international processing are governed by the provider's applicable service terms and data-protection arrangements. GO-RC does not describe Bash Bot prompts as being immediately deleted everywhere unless that has been technically and contractually verified.

Analytics and technical service providers

We may use analytics, hosting and technical service providers, including services provided through the platform used to operate GO-RC, to understand application usage, identify errors, monitor performance and improve the service. These providers may process technical information, usage information and pseudonymous device or app identifiers on our behalf where necessary to provide these services.

Where these providers process information on our behalf, they are required to handle it in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements and our instructions.

Legal and regulatory authorities

We may disclose information where necessary to:

• Comply with the law
• Respond to lawful requests
• Protect our legal rights
• Prevent fraud or criminal activity
• Protect the safety of users or others

GO-RC may provide AI-powered features such as Bash Bot, an automated RC information assistant. Bash Bot is not a human technician and its answers may contain errors.

When you use Bash Bot, the text you enter and a limited amount of recent conversation context may be processed to generate the response. Please do not enter passwords, payment details, authentication codes, full street addresses, health information or other information that is unnecessary for an RC question.

Bash Bot is intended for RC and GO-RC-related questions only. GO-RC applies automated input and output safety checks, source restrictions and other safeguards intended to reduce harmful content, unnecessary personal-data processing and unsafe responses.

Members can report a Bash Bot response from inside the chat. A reported AI response and limited technical moderation information may be retained so GO-RC can review the report, improve filtering and address safety issues. The reporting mechanism is designed not to add a separate user identifier to the report record.

For technical compatibility, battery, charging, voltage or other safety-critical matters, users should verify the answer against the relevant manufacturer's official documentation before acting on it.

GO-RC does not use Bash Bot conversations to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about a member. Bash Bot is not authorised to decide refunds, bans, subscription eligibility or other consequential account decisions.

The lawful basis for processing will depend on the purpose. Where processing is necessary to provide a Bash Bot feature requested by a member, we may rely on performance of our contract with that member. We may also rely on legitimate interests for proportionate security, fraud prevention, service improvement and abuse prevention, subject to the user's rights and interests.

Some information you choose to submit to Go-RC is intended to be shared with the Go-RC community.

For example, if you submit:

• An RC spot
• An event
• A Garage vehicle
• A photograph
• A review
• Other community content

that information may be visible to other users.

Before publishing content, please consider whether you are comfortable with it being publicly available.

You should not submit personal information belonging to another person unless you have a lawful basis and, where appropriate, their permission.

You should also avoid submitting:

• Private addresses
• Sensitive personal information
• Financial information
• Passwords
• Identification documents
• Other information that should not be publicly available

Go-RC may remove content that we believe breaches our terms, creates a safety risk, infringes another person's rights or is otherwise inappropriate.

Some Go-RC features require location information to function effectively.

You can control location permissions through your device settings.

If you submit an RC spot, event or other location as community content, the location you submit may be visible to other users.

Go-RC is not responsible for ensuring that a user-submitted location is suitable, safe, accessible or legally permitted for RC use. Users should independently check access permissions and local restrictions before visiting a location.

The Go-RC website and application may use cookies, local storage, analytics technologies or similar technologies to:

• Keep services functioning
• Remember preferences
• Understand how users interact with the service
• Improve performance
• Maintain security
• Measure usage

Strictly necessary technologies may be used to provide security, authentication and requested functionality. Where applicable law requires consent, non-essential analytics, advertising or similar tracking technologies will not be activated until the required consent has been obtained, and consent can be withdrawn through the available privacy or cookie controls.

We may send service-related communications that are necessary to administer your Go-RC account or membership.

Where required, we will obtain appropriate consent before sending direct marketing communications.

You can unsubscribe from marketing communications by using the unsubscribe option provided in the relevant email or by contacting us at info@go-rc.uk.

Unsubscribing from marketing communications will not prevent us from sending essential service or account-related communications.

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.

Retention periods depend on the type of information and why we hold it.

For example:

• Account information is generally retained while your account remains active.
• Membership and transaction information may be retained for as long as necessary to administer the membership and comply with accounting, tax and legal requirements.
• User-generated content may remain available while associated with an active account or where necessary to maintain the integrity of the Go-RC community.
• Information required for legal, security or fraud-prevention purposes may be retained for an appropriate period after an account is closed.
• GO-RC does not intend to create a permanent member-profile record of location wording merely because it is supplied to Bash Bot. Under the standard OpenAI API configuration, prompts and responses may nevertheless be temporarily processed or retained for abuse monitoring for up to 30 days, unless a different eligible retention configuration applies.
• Where a member reports a Bash Bot response, the reported AI response and limited moderation metadata may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to review the report, improve safety controls and maintain an appropriate moderation record.
• Bash Bot allowance records, such as daily question counts, redeemed-question balances and related GO-RC Credit redemption activity, may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the allowance, prevent abuse, resolve account queries and maintain appropriate audit records.

When information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to securely delete or anonymise it.

You may request deletion of your Go-RC account.

To request deletion, visit https://go-rc.uk/delete-account or use the Delete Account option in Profile → Settings within the app.

When an account is deleted, the following personal data is permanently deleted:

• Account and profile information
• Garage entries and rig photos
• Reviews and comments
• Uploaded spot and member photos
• Check-ins and saved spot data
• Notifications and membership requests
• Competition and giveaway records linked only to the deleted account, except where retention is legally required

The following may be retained in anonymised form where required for legal, fraud-prevention, accounting or regulatory purposes:

• Merchandise order records (retained for HMRC tax record-keeping, with personal identifiers such as name and address removed)
• Spots and events you submitted (community content is retained, but your personal identifiers are removed)

Deletion of your Go-RC account does not necessarily cancel a payment or subscription with a third-party payment provider. If you have an active paid subscription, you should ensure that it has been cancelled appropriately.

Under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, you may have rights including:

• The right to be informed about how your information is used
• The right to access your personal information
• The right to have inaccurate information corrected
• The right to request deletion of your information
• The right to request restriction of processing
• The right to object to certain processing
• The right to data portability
• The right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, we will use a lawful transfer mechanism required by the law that applies, which may include an adequacy decision/regulation, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or another recognised safeguard.

Where required, we also assess whether supplementary measures are appropriate for the transfer.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against:

• Unauthorised access

• Misuse
• Alteration
• Disclosure

However, no internet-based service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and should notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

Go-RC is intended for users who are legally able to use the service under applicable law.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children where doing so would be unlawful.

Go-RC may contain links or references to third-party websites, services or businesses.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security or content of third-party services.

You should review the privacy policy of any third-party service before providing it with personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Changes may be made when:
