GO-RC United States Privacy Supplement
Published 16 September 2026 · Effective for United States users when GO-RC launches as a supported service in the United States.
This supplement applies to GO-RC users in the United States once the United States service is enabled. It supplements the GO-RC Privacy Policy and does not replace the terms that apply to UK users.
Information we may process
Depending on how you use GO-RC, we may process account and profile information, usernames, email addresses, photographs and other community content, RC Garage information, spot and event submissions, membership information, transaction identifiers, technical and diagnostic information, app or device identifiers, and location information used for GO-RC features.
GO-RC does not require full payment-card details to be stored on GO-RC systems. In-app payments are intended to be processed by the applicable app-store billing provider.
Location information
GO-RC may use foreground device location when you choose to use location-dependent features such as finding nearby RC spots or performing a location-verified check-in.
GO-RC's planned US service does not require background-location tracking and does not use precise device location for behavioural advertising.
Locations that you deliberately submit as RC spots, events or other community content may be visible to other users. Do not submit a private home address or another person's private location without appropriate permission.
Sale, sharing and targeted advertising
GO-RC does not sell personal information.
GO-RC does not use precise device location for targeted or behavioural advertising.
Information may be disclosed to service providers that help us operate, secure, host, analyse or provide GO-RC, and where required by law or to protect users, the service or our legal rights.
US privacy rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, portability, or certain uses or disclosures of personal information.
Where a relevant US state privacy law applies to GO-RC and grants you a right, GO-RC will provide the right required by that law. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Where applicable law provides a right to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal information, profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects, or the collection or processing of sensitive data such as precise geolocation, GO-RC will honour that right. GO-RC does not currently sell personal information or use precise device location for targeted advertising.
GO-RC will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right where applicable law prohibits such discrimination.
Access, correction and deletion
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by contacting info@go-rc.uk. Account deletion is also available through GO-RC's account-deletion process.
Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, accounting, legal compliance, dispute resolution or other purposes permitted by applicable law.
Children and age information
The planned US version of GO-RC is a general-audience RC community and is not directed to children under 13.
Users in the United States must be at least 16 years old to create an account. This account minimum is aligned with GO-RC's declared Google Play target audience of ages 16–17 and 18 and over.
GO-RC does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13 through the US service.
Where GO-RC asks for date-of-birth or other age information to determine whether a person is eligible to create a US account, that information will be used for age or eligibility purposes and will not be used by GO-RC for advertising. We will not retain age-verification information longer than reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, subject to applicable law and any minimum record needed to prevent circumvention or demonstrate compliance.
For users under 18, GO-RC will apply any additional protections required by applicable law to personal information, profiling and precise geolocation. Precise device location is requested only where needed for a user-requested location feature and is not used by GO-RC for targeted advertising.
If we learn that an under-13 user in the United States has provided personal information through an account without legally valid parental consent or another lawful basis, we will take appropriate steps to stop further collection and delete the information as required by applicable law.
